Being an intermediate pianist isn’t always easy. You’ve mastered the basics, but you haven’t yet reached the top, and you may feel that you’re stuck.

You’ve developed good technique and understand the performer’s art, but you feel something isn’t right. Your performances are lacklustre and you don’t know how to improve your piano playing. You often abandon pieces before completing them because you aren’t able to overcome certain technical challenges and can’t work out some complex passages. In short, you feel dissatisfied, confused and frustrated.

If you feel this way, don’t wait any longer. Seek a professional pianist’s advice and start taking piano lessons. Don’t be ashamed of your piano playing or what you have achieved so far. The Paris Music Institute is here to help you. We’ll never judge you. On the contrary, we love working with intermediate pianists who’d like to develop their piano skills, and we will do everything we can to help you achieve this.

A technical problem that’s troubled you for years can often be solved almost instantly with a piano teacher’s help. Professional pianists have faced every problem you are encountering, and they’ll usually have a solution. It’d be a shame to continue struggling with trills or octaves when a professional can quickly diagnose the source of the problem and remedy it immediately. Sometimes, it’s simply a matter of poor fingering choices. There’s no excuse for remaining in the dark, especially as there’s an adult piano school in Paris that’s open to all intermediate pianists who’d like to improve their playing.

We’re passionate about working with adult intermediate pianists at the Paris Music Institute. It’s always a pleasure to meet amateur pianists with a strong desire to develop their technical and musical abilities.

You don’t need to have reached a particular level to take part in our intermediate piano courses in our welcoming rue du Colisée piano studios. Whatever you’ve achieved in the past, we will start from where you are and help you become the outstanding pianist you have always dreamed of being.
