Guitar enthusiasts who don’t have any musical training or previous experience often doubt their ability to play. The first thing we would like to tell you is: Do not worry!

1. Whatever your age, there’s no limit to when you can start playing the guitar for pleasure. You don’t intend to take a new direction, leave your job and become a professional guitarist, isn’t that right?
2. Exceptional talent isn’t needed to enjoy playing the guitar either. It’s certainly useful for those who want to pursue a career, but it isn’t even necessary when playing for pleasure.
3. It’s understandable to be afraid that you will not be any good. That’s normal for any adult, but it is impossible to look ridiculous at the Paris Music Institute.
We have a genuine passion for helping adults get started, and we can assure you that we will never judge you. We will never think negatively of you. On the contrary, we will always support you and guide you in a way that ensures you’re at ease.

As it lasts 30 minutes, you’ll have plenty of time to discover the instrument, meet your lovely teacher and realise that you are perfectly capable of doing what your teacher asks of you.
During this first lesson, your teacher will ensure you’re at ease and show you the essential basics. You’ll discover the instrument and may even play one or two short tunes. Does that sound impossible?
After this first encounter with the guitar, you will have a better idea of what it involves, and your fears should disappear.
There’s no mystery to it. Playing the guitar is a skill like any other, which must be studied and developed over time, so the only way to succeed is to take the first step and get started.
